Redefine Versatility with F1
Tailor your bioprocessing needs with ease. Designed for ultimate flexibility, F1 supports:
Whether you’re working with cutting-edge cell culture systems or high-yield microbial processes, F1 adapts to meet your needs seamlessly.
F1 enables automation of processes ranging from very simple to highly complex through unlimited recipes, equation-based control, and soft sensors and is conceived for seamless connectivity for AI based management, control and DOE. This decreases complexity for the operator and reduces manual intervention, accelerating process development and optimization, in up to 24 parallel units.
The F1 is “Future Ready” for the new needs and additional complexity the evolution in your processes may bring. Is Native for Process Intensification, supports multiple bioreactor technologies (jacketed and single wall STR, airlift and STR and 2D rocking SUBs) and a very large options for expanding your initial set-up. Up to seven freely assignable pumps per bioreactor, 5 MFCs, 5 digital and 2 analog sensors, 3 scales with a plug-and-play ecosystem make the F1 the “non-regret” bench-top bioreactor control unit.
F1 is designed to be qualified under GMP regulatory guidelines, with construction standards, 21 CFR Part 11 software and internal commissioning leverageable for qualification (DQ/IQ/OQ). The complete P.A.T. capabilities and process intensification options, provide the bases to reduce risk and accelerate your Biopharma process scale-up, helping users meet regulatory expectations while simplifying audits and lifecycle management.
A well compartmentalized hardware design ensures reliable operation and easy access to all control unit components. This simplifies maintenance, enables remote diagnostics, and helps minimize downtime through efficient technical support.
Advanced software
Discover Rosita 2.0, the software used in the F1 bioreactor. It´s powerful, flexible and intuitive

The lid design offers the perfect balance between flexible operation and easy handling, operation and maintenance. The number of ports provides functional versatility, as the ports allow for the exchange of information as well as material, such as sampling.

A precise motor serves the complete vessel volume range with turbine options including Pitched-blade impeller, Rushton, Marine and other customised options and a whole range of rpms. In addition, top agitation provides flexibility to the agitator geometry.

The F1 is delivered with 2 precise peristaltic fixed speed pumps, enabling reliable repetition and scaling. The integration of 2 extra variable speed pumps in the control unit and 3 additional external allow for Batch, Fed-Batch or Continuous Processes.

The Fl is equipped with a gas module with more than 5.000 combinations thanks to the flexibility given by the number of mass flow controllers, bioreactor inlet, and gas flows for each lines, covering all your needs.

Temperature control consists of an internal jacket with a closed water circuit, covering a temperature range of up to °C: 10 – 80 °C, efficient with all types of cells. For more technical information and experimental data ask Bionet.

The presence of accessible spare signals and wired connectors allows for future integration of additional instrumentation and actuators, and Bionet’s bSMART Modules in a Plug&Play fashion.

A sophisticated and comprehensive software solution that can rival the most advanced licensed products in the market while offering a more cost-effective alternative. Configurable control loops between several sensors and actuators of choice, beyond the standard. Programmable control loops via equations. Configuration of soft sensors that can be visualized but also used for control.

The F1 can be designed, constructed, and qualified in strict accordance with GMP guidelines, ensuring unparalleled quality and compliance.

The vessels are available in different types for stirred bioreactor, photobioreactor and airlift, as well as a wide range of working volumes and in interchangeable geometries for microbial and cell culture, thanks to shared vessel supports and agitator motors.

With the F1 you can control our patented 2D rocking movement bioreactor CT1, which makes it suitable for both high-density microbial and cell cultures. Moreover, explores the added capability to integrate a stirred vessel, further enhancing F1's suitability for cell culture applications.
